The local nonprofit research and development firm awards scholarship to Moises Guandique, UC Davis Alumni, and Assistant Estimator for National Facilities Services – Cost Engineering Group.
(DAVIS, CA) The Institute for Construction Innovation (i4Ci), a 501(c)3 nonprofit research and development firm, has awarded a scholarship to Moises Guandique for the Advanced Studies in Estimating and integrated Cost Management certificate program offered exclusively at the University of California, Davis, Continuing and Professional Education (UC Davis – CPE).
“I fell in love with estimating while earning my Construction Management Certificate at UC Davis CPE,” said Guandique. “I recently started my career in construction as an assistant estimator. When I learned of the Advanced Estimating and integrated Cost Management program, I knew this would expand my knowledge and help me advance my career.”
Raised by a single mother with his two brothers in South Central Los Angeles, Guandique is a first-generation college student and graduate. He earned his BS in Civil Engineering from UC Davis in 2017. He is an estimating professional with Kaiser in-house general contractor, National Facilities Services – Cost Engineering Group.
“We at Kaiser Permanente are very impressed and pleased with Moises’ work. We can hardly wait to see how the Advanced Studies program at UC Davis will grow his knowledge and understanding of Estimating and integrated Cost Management,” said Michael Hill, North Bay Regional Commercial Real Estate Chief Estimator for Kaiser Permanente.
i4Ci is working exclusively with UC Davis – CPE to develop the Advanced Studies in Estimating and integrated Cost Management certificate program, which launches with its first cohort on Monday, October 26, 2020.
